Title: Fitbit personal pedometer failure caused Folder Missing
Post by: myhilo on April 16, 2015, 12:59:11 PM
Fitbit personal pedometer failure caused Folder Missing,  while connecting and syncing my pedometer, I has a directory(folder) off root called 'B's'
Fitbit was a folder under 'B's'  and it when syncing Fitbit automatically connected to web came back to my browser with ' something like site down for maintenance , try back later.

When I next tried to sync, the "B's/Fitbit folder couldn't be found.

Is everything in B's now gone?

Are you referring to a directory on your DNS-321?

Yes that's correct, I had a directory (folder) " B's"  and under that directory I had many other directories and files.

All is not lost, I found my directory, is has be placed under another directory called 'businesses' .  so it now looks like
root dns 321  ...volume_1/Businesses/B's/ and all my directories and files.

I don't recall ever creating a directory 'businesses'.   buy searching using the cd command from the command prompt and using b* as the wild card I found....
Z:\>cd b*.

Z:\Businesses>cd b*.

Z:\Businesses\B's>

so did I or the software I was using move the directory (folder) B's into the Businesses folder?

Any explainations would be useful.

Also my trouble again proves that Raid is NOT backup.

The DNS-321 did not create the "Businesses" directory.

Possible sources:

If the directory already existed, it's possible that you accidentally dragged B's into the Businesses Directory while browsing the NAS in Windows. I'm guilty of doing that myself.  ;)
