Title: Is my router suppose to do this?
Post by: Lundorff on May 07, 2015, 11:56:46 PM
Hi, new guy here so please correct me if this is the wrong section.

I was having weird network connectivity problems (semi-lag and unresponsive website), and when I checked the router it had begun blinking like crazy: http://youtu.be/mmzaLaojSmY (http://youtu.be/mmzaLaojSmY) (please excuse the dust...)

Stuff I have tried:

1) I thought perhaps someone had figured out my password, but a "net view" reveals no additional connections.
2) I have tried turning it on and off to no avail.
3) I have tried a factory reset, but no cigar.
4) I can connect directly to the modem without any problems.
5) I have tried switching back and forth between Google Open DNS IP vs. obtaining one automatically, but it doesn't seems to have any correlation.
6) This morning I tried to reconnect and although it's still blinking, I no longer have any connectivity issues.

Is it normal for a router to blink like that? I did not have any active devices connected when I recorded the video.

Your video is not viewable. It says it's private.  ???
