Title: DCS-2132LB1 sending continuous email with motion detection enabled
Post by: gnopa on May 12, 2015, 08:56:55 AM
Hi,
I've just bought the DCS-2132LB1 and upgraded to the lastest firmware 2.02.05.
What I want from the camera is to send emails whenever a motion is detected in a selected area. I've already properly configured the 'Event setup' to send the email but if I go to the 'Motion Detection' tab, draw the area I want to monitor for motion and enable the motion detection, the camera start sending images even if there is no motion in the selected area.  :o
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Can you help me?

Thanks!!!

Review the user manual for any configuration settings to set up motion detection and email notifications. There maybe a notification option that is enabled to send periodically rather than upon detect motion.

It's because i'm beginning to think the camera is junk.  You can't get it to do what you want it to do.  It sense motion, when there is no motion.  Even when it senses motion, it won't record long enough.  It basically doesn't do what it's supposed to.  I'm taking my back, I suggest you do the same.

Did you contact D-Link support to ask them for help and information on this? I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
