I'm just wondering if anyone knows what myDLink.com is planning to do once Java is blocked from Chrome altogether and in the upcoming IE replacement, Spartan.
Google states the current workaround in Chrome is no longer going to function in September, myDLink doesn't work with Safari on the PC, IE will go soon away, leaving Firefox as the most readily available alternative...for the moment. (Not a fan at all.)
Clearly Java is falling out of favor as a plug-in due to its security issues, and soon won't work on anything.
Does DLink have an answer, or are we all going to lose PC access to our cameras?
The phone apps are great, but just don't have all the functionality of the PC access. Even though it all works today, I'm starting to get worried.
I can't find anything online about DLink's plans, but thanks for sharing any insight you might have.

I'm sure D-Link is aware and is making plans. What those plans are, we are not privy too and won't be given that information. I presume that at some point in time, D-Link will make public any and all pertinent information regarding mydlink.com and the future of there services with Java. D-Link product users will not be left in the dark.

Thanks...I'm sure they are working on it. Just wondered if anyone had heard anything yet.
I'm pretty happy with my six D-Link cameras and two D-Link routers in Alaska and South Carolina, and really hope mydlink.com remains a viable option to access them all.
Cheers!

Well, now that Windows 10 is rolling out, it turns out that MyDlink will not work with the new browser, Edge.
Chrome compatibility is going away next month, Safari for PC doesn't work, which seems to leave only Firefox.
Still no word from D-Link on a solution.

I presume thats one think on D-Links plate is Windows 10 support. I presume users will have to be patient. I commend phone contacting D-Link support for users that need more immediate information and help. We find that phone results in more immediate help over using email.
