Title: Intermittent video and audio
Post by: scarvic on June 17, 2015, 08:49:57 PM
Hi there, just got one of these 932L - RevB cameras and I've been scouring these forums to get everything set up properly. I've fixed everything except for this one problem that persists.

When I view the camera from the web page using the "java" configuration, everything is perfect! Smooth video, smooth audio, no distortions, etc.

When I view the camera through either playback of a recording, or from the "scheduling configuration" page, the video and audio are intermittent. It's as if its lagging, it keeps stopping and going, about twice per second. Video freezes, then plays, and this happens in about a second, and it happens every second. Same with the audio, cuts in and out. When I play back a recording of audio, it also sounds like chipmunk voice, very high pitched.

I have it set up with a wired connection, 10 feet from my router. On the latest 2.01b03 firmware.

Any insight is appreciated, and I apologize if this has been covered before, but I could not find any solutions after many different attempts at searching the forums/google.

Thanks!

Try setting a Static IP address ON the camera to an IP address outside the main host routers default IP address pool? i.e. 192.168.0.93.

Would you mind walking me through that? I tried setting a static IP address as you suggested, but I must have done it incorrectly. It did not let me connect to the camera any more after I did that. I have reverted it back to DHCP for now.

It would be a huge help if you could show me how. Thanks !
