Title: Mapping on Mac OSX?
Post by: slasher90 on July 04, 2009, 03:20:05 PM
Hi, I run on OSX, installed the 323 via BootCamp on Vista, and I was wondering how I could map my hard drives on OSX. I can access it throught the Network tab, but I want to map them. Anyone knows how to do that?

Sure here are the steps for setup. If you would like images please goto our support site at dlink.com and search the FAQ's for this device.

Q: How do you mount the DNS-323/321/343 to my Mac computer, running Mac OS X?

A:

Step 1: Open Finder

Step 2: Select Network

Step 3: Select your Workgroup

Step 4: You will find the DNS-323 listed by the devices name. The example shown is "Dns-323". Select "Dns-323" and click Connect

Step 5: Select the folder you would like to mount (e.g., Volume_1) and click OK

Step 6: You will be prompted for SMB/CIFS File System Authentication. Click OK to authenticate your network drive

Step 7: Your network drive is now mounted. You can access Volume_1 by clicking the Mount icon (\\DNS-323\Volume_1)
