[Description]
BIND is the de facto standard DNS server. It is a free software product and is distributed with most Unix and Linux platforms, where it is most often also referred to as named (name daemon). It is the most widely deployed DNS server. Historically, BIND underwent three major revisions, each with significantly different architectures: BIND4, BIND8, and BIND9. BIND4 and BIND8 are now technically obsolete and not considered in this article. BIND9 is a ground-up rewrite of BIND featuring complete DNSSEC support in addition to other features and enhancements.

Download and install the BIND Add-On.
The only setting CLI using telnet or ssh.
Config: /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/bind/etc & /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/var/named
Binaries: /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/bind/bin & /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/bind/sbin
Logs: /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/bind/var/log
Ports: 53/tcp & 53/udp

I can't get on to vtverdohleb's site. Is there any mirror for this app and the other apps listed in these forums?

If yes   - Did you register?  Only registered members on his site can download (and maybe donate  ;)  )

Yes. The site has some problems - sometimes for 5-10 minutes stops responding. The reason is not yet understood, but the problem is solved, will be fixed soon.
