Title: Rules Help
Post by: krhoover on July 08, 2015, 02:04:34 PM
I need help writing the rules to allow remote access via Remote Desktop. Our public IP is 69.199.32.157 and I need to remote into 10.0.0.17. There are quite a few subnets, since we use a virtual server environment. I have  the current system and config files if that helps, but I don't see how to attach them here. I have never written rules for this and I am racking my little brain.  Please help.

DFL-210. I am in a casino and our slot monitoring system requires a bunch of subnets. We had this set up before, but the Gaming company reset the device to factory defaults, and unfortunately, our last IT guy did not back up the configuration. Is there a way to let you see the routes that they put in?

Let me have someone review this as I don't have any experience with the DFL line...

The number of subnets you have configured thankfully has no effect on a port forward.  You should be able to follow the below document pretty directly.

That said, given that it sounds like you have a high stress environment (I have never met a gaming commission that took errors lightly), it may be worth your time to reach out to the old network guy if that bridge isn't in cinders.  What kind of gaming company touches your hardware, that is absolutely nuts.  Good luck dude, it sounds like you inherited the s***ty end of the stick.

I am still having trouble setting up port forwarding on my DFL-210. I have some screen shots of what I have so far. Is there anyway to upload them or allow someone to look at them?
