Firmware Version : 2.05UI
Hardware Version : B1
Product Page : DIR-605L

my problem is:
i use PPPoE connection and i have user name and password and my Connection mode is always on.
but when i start my router its did not connect the internet.
i mean to say its not dial it self i manually login in to router then goto status menu and click on connect button then the internet is connected.
so is there any option in router that connect (dial) internet automatically.
previously i used 3 wifi routers and they connect internet automatically but in this n300 cloud router not connect internet automatically,

I am having exactly same issue. It's very annoying.Where do you live and which ISP? I am from Nepal.

I was about to start new topics with my issue but found yours. I have firmware updated to 2.06. Why it can't connect automatically to internet when power is ON? Alos thes is no setting to auto connect as well. Connection mode to "always" didn't help either.  I previously had Netis router which didn't have single problem. But unfortunately it was damaged by power fluctuation. Is this Dlink router really bad?

PPPoA/E users have to manually input the PPP user name and PW into the router then it should connect it the PPP ISP modem is bridged. Please refer to the routers user Manual for setup and configuration of the router for use with PPP ISP connections.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

I recommend that you have your ISP check the cabling going to the ISP modem, check signal levels going to the ISP modem. For DSL or Fiber service lines, ensure that the ISP is using good working phone or cable lines to the DSL modem and that the phone lines are filtered correctly. For cable Internet, RG-6 coaxial cable is needed, not RG-59. Check for t.v. line splitters and remove them as they can introduce noise on the line and lower the signal going to the ISP modem. I recommend having the ISP service physically check the lines going from the out side to the ISP modem. Connecting to the ISP modem could result in a false positive as the signal to the modem could be just enough to that point then adding on a router, could see problems. The router operation is dependent upon getting good data flow from the ISP modem and the modem is dependent upon getting good signal from the ISP Service.
