Hello guys
I just bought a brand new d-link 868L and connected it to my symetrical 1gb line. According to the provider i should get the maximum out of the router when wired. This should be about 800-900 mbs down and upload. But i only get max 350mbs. Does anybody know what the problem could be? Is there something in the the settings i have to change?
Wireless mode works not bad. Get about 200mbs in 5ghz with really old macbook pro.

That is a bit strange... that router can do way more than that... according to the list found on Small Net Builder, (http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/tools/charts/router/view (http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/tools/charts/router/view)) that router can go up to 924Mbps (WAN-LAN)
These are the easy things to check:
- Make sure you have the right cable linking your Modem and Router's WAN port (CAT5e or higher - CAT6 recommended)
- Make sure your connection is auto-negotiated... so the WAN port must be on AUTO (is the default)
- Check your firmware... Ensure you are running the best firmware for your device. (WARNING: the latest may not always be the best for your device) If your device is several firmware behind, I recommend upgrading firmware one-by-one, allowing the ability to test each version. Just in case I can't revert back from the latest. (That's just my opinion)
Other than that we are gonna need some more information on the make and model of your Modem... and if this is a bridge modem or a modem router.

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.

- What region are you located?
- Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
- Has a Factory Reset (http://blog.dlink.com/what-is-a-reset-button-when-should-i-use-it) been performed?
- Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?

- Was the router working before any firmware updates?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
- What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have? Link> Speed Testing Sites (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48352.0)
- By-pass the main host router and check internet connection by connecting a wired LAN PC directly to the ISP modem to verify connection access and ISP speeds.
- Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Link> Cat6 is recommended. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAT6)
- Check ISP MTU requirements, Cable is usually 1500, DSL is around 1492 down to 1472. Call the ISP and ask. Link>Checking MTU Values (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=53008.0)
- Turn off ALL QoS (http://vonage.nmhoy.net/qos.html) or Disable Traffic Shaping and QoS.
