Title: Slow speeds on LAN ports
Post by: Ekerstan on August 04, 2015, 03:13:33 PM
I have a DIR-655, B1 with 2.11NA firmware.  My ISP connection is via wireless antenna radio on my roof pointed line of sight to the ISP relay tower.  From the rooftop antenna I have a CAT5 running down to a POE power injector with a LAN port.  If I cable connect my computer directly to the LAN port on the POE I get 11Mbps/3Mbps (exactly what I'm serviced for)...when I connect the 655 and cable connect to the LAN ports on the 655 I get 2-3Mbps/3Mbps.  Connecting wirelessly I get 6Mbps/2-3Mbps.

The other strange thing is I've connected ONLY a Netgear FS105 switch to the POE and I also then get 2-3Mbps/3Mbps.

I'll take any suggestions.  Thank you!

Try setting a manual WAN port speed to 100Mb or try 10Mb.

Is this a new ISP setup or has this been working ever?
Disable any IPv6 settings on the router and PC.
Does the ISP modem/injecter have a router built in?

Test router at a different location with different ISP and modem if possible.

Thank you for your input!  I changed two settings and one or both solved the problem;

Enable IPv6 Multicast Streams - I unchecked it
WAN Port Speed - I set to 100Mbps

I think I'm good to go.  Thanks again!!
