It worked fine. Don't notice any new features, but then I only use SMB file sharing and nothing else.
All seems good.

Maybe it's for a particular region/country (like we discussed before)

EU still shows as per image

Since I've skipped a few FW versions and went straight to this one, can someone post the changelogs since the thread that is supposed to do that stops at 1.0.4?

Thanks!

Not with 1.06, it's not there... I wonder why the changelog thread is locked and not updated.

Ah, I saw that, but I thought there were other vrersions between 1.04 and the current 06b. I see now that there don't appear to be any, so that'll do :)

To answer koadrian's question above for those who may be interested, it appears as though D-Link has intentionally removed fun_plug functionality moving forward starting with firmware 1.06b03 as stated by the line "Fun_plug script was removed and no longer to be supported" which is found in the 1.06b03 release notes on D-Link's Canadian website (ftp://ftp.dlink.ca/PRODUCTS/DNS-320L/DNS-320L_REVA_RELEASENOTES_1.06.PDF).

Unfortunately the release notes on D-Link's USA website do not have this informative line in them which is where the confusion/frustration comes in, but because the firmware binaries you download from D-Link's Canadian and USA websites are identical (both binaries have an MD5 hash of "0216D3AFF50FF31545F160A0226EDE3F") then therefore the USA 1.06b03 binary must also have the fun_plug functionality removed even though it does not mention it (the USA release notes are at "ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/BETA_FIRMWARE/DNS-320L/REVA/DNS-320L_REVA_FIRMWARE_PATCH_NOTES_1.06.B03_EN.PDF").

So if you use fun_plug, do not "upgrade" to firmware 1.06b03.

Hi,

This may not be specific to Firmware v1.06b03 but I noticed an issue with P2P down loads operating in schedule mode.
I can add a torrent from file, but it cannot be delteted, started or stopped, unless I logon at a time when the schedule is on.
[Remove Completed] does not work either even after download is complete unless I do this at a time when the scheule is on.
Perhaps this is a bug to be fixed in the next release.

Kind regards,

Jaya

Using this version, ShareCenter (mysurveillance)  still can't recognize my DCS-2136L camera.  I thought that its release note indicated to recognize newer IP cameras.  Anyway, as generic model still works.

Anyone else having difficulties with MyDlink? The device reports that it's logged in alright, but when I vitit the web page (either on the web or through mobile) it says no devices are connected...

[EDIT] After a couple of reboots (not with the first, though) it seems to have stuck at last. I can now access it!

Hello,

Try to use Remot Backup with DNS320.
Backup stays at 99% for days. I have to restart to display stop/start button.
I try to do a backup from distant NAS (DNS 320) to local but only files and directories are restored, not the files on the directories.

When you create a task, clic on start/stop button not display again the stop button (display "-" and no action is possible. You have to restart to display the button again).

I dont know if this came with the 1.06b03 as i had not try with older FW.

Another problem with remote backup comes to mind.  As soon as you enable remote backup, you can SSH to your DNS320 and logon as root without requiring password.  Just type 'root' as username and it will not prompt you for any password!

I saw this on DLINK Website >> This ShareCenter storage device has a storage capacity of up to 4TB (greater capacities supported with future firmware release) <<<< How much storage capacity  I can insert on a DNS 320L ? Given that i update the firmware ?

Hello,

Bought a D-Link ShareCenter DNS-320L last week. It worked normally until today when I installed the latest firmware from here: http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DNS-320L
As it says there, the last version is 1.06.B03.

The installation was done successfully but next time when I tried to access my NAS it didn't let me. In the browser (Windows 10, Chrome), for instance, I pass the login screen, but then nothing, it says "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED".
I see it connected to my network but it keeps asking for user and password and regardless of what credentials I put there, I cannot login.

I see it when I run the installation app but now it gets stuck when I click Next after setting the password.
The blue led is working normally.
Tried Hard Reset, but with no result.

What should I do to make it work?

LATER EDIT: When I access the NAS from my phone, I pass the login screen, I can enter the interface, but all I got is the 3 buttons (Home, Applications, Management) with no functionality on neither of them. And then I can't do anything, can't access the data or the settings.

Thanks in advance!

PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? I
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.

I'm so displeased with this device >:(.
I had dropouts during the copy of large amounts of small files and/or large files to the device with firmware 1.05 so I installed this firmware (1.06b03) to see if the issue has been solved. However the problem still persists.

The copy starts fine at a 30Mb/s but then drops to 0 Kb/s, continues with 7Mb/s and then drops again to 0 Kb/s and so on.....

My configuration: DNS320LW rev. A2; Windows 10 64 bit.

I'm sure that the problem isn't my network or computer because I also have a DNS320 device with fun_plug installed on it and when I start to copy onto this device I haven't got any network dropouts/problems at all; so it must be the DNS320LW.

For now I'm out of options.

Regards,

Spookycust.

I tried both ways: 1.) connect both devices (computer and DNS320LW) at the same switch and connect the switch to the router 2.) connect computer at the switch and the switch to the router and the DNS320LW at the router.
However either both ways caused the dropouts.

Strange since today the dropouts are gone during the copy of larger files. Yesterday I tried to copy a large amount of mp3 files onto the device and always had dropouts but today I tried to copy a large amount of FLAC files and I don't have any dropouts?
Maybe the problem occurs only if one of my other family members is online?

I will try to do some more investigation into this problem....

Thanks for the reply.

Kind regards.
