Title: [Q] Why can't I my DCS-5222L w/ current firmware see the 802.11n network?
Post by: grimloktt on August 24, 2015, 05:22:43 PM
I recently installed DCS-5222L cameras which are somewhat working.  When I watch live video from phone/computer away from home, there's a lot of stuttering and very low fps 1-3.  The DCS-5222L specifications claims 802.11n but it cannot see in order to connect to my 5GHZ wifi signal.

I went into internet settings and clicked the rescan button but still don't see 5GHZ channels.

Do I need to do something special somewhere else to use the 5GHZ in order to gain faster speeds and hopefully smoother video?

Thank you!!!

Is this hw version b?
The A doesn't have 5ghz. I don't think the B version does either. Only 2.4.

You should get close to 25fps in 240p mode.  480p maybe 5fps all over 4g.

I talked to D-Link and they said yes, it has 802.11n but only 2.4GHZ ability.  Is that possible?
