I have searched this form and couldn’t find a answer.

Go to Setup > Event Setup, and in the Server section, click the Add button. Then on the Server page that opens, click the Email radio button and add the details of your email account.

Good luck with this, I have not managed to get smtp.gmail.com to work.
I will be very interested to hear if you manage to get to to work.
I did get gmail limited email to work using aspmx.l.google.com as the smtp server.

Thank you cmontyburns. Your information got me to the right place. I'm still trying to get the right setting for a e-mail notification. I think I'm close.

When I first got this camera and started setting it up I was getting A LOT of false triggers that were generating tons of email messages. Since I didn't want my gmail account getting locked out because they thought I was sending spam I decided to use my isp email address which I don't use for anything else. My suggestion would be to try a different sending account to see if you get it working. Try you ISP email account or a Yahoo account. I have zero problem with it sending email. Here are my settings:

For Google email users, another user posted this information about Google configuration for email and cameras:
"I fought with this for a long time. I finally stumbled on the solution -
You must go to the Google > My Account > Sign-in and Security page. Scroll down that page and you will see "Connected apps & sites" section. You will find "Allow less secure apps:" - change that to "ON". This Google setting is "OFF" by default.
Then your cam will work with the settings given in the previous post."

Bumping up this thread ;D
A note regarding how to set up for mail notifications.
In my case I have my own domain and use Gmail as my mail supplier/host. My mailaddresses are therefore name@mydomain.com but all of them are manged by my gmail account mydomain@gmail.com and once I set the security on that account to "Allow less secure apps:" for all my other mailboxes i eventually got it to work.
Now on for FTP and file storage......
