Title: dsl-2650u wifi router/hub/switch: is wifi connected as a hub or switch port ?

i'm attempting to view data on my network via promisc mode on a station via it's wifi nic.
i'm seeing packets from the wifi net, but not from the wired stations.
i had thought that the wifi stations would be seen just as the other stations connected to the 4 hub ports on this device, but i'm not.
it looks as if the internal wifi access point is connected via an internal switched port to the 4 port hub.
is this true? or is there another explaination for this behavior?

The ports on most modems and routers may not support promiscuous mode since the ports are based on a switch rather than a hub which allows all traffic to communicate between ports. Switches are more segregating of traffic between ports and devices.

Also check to see if this model modem has a WLAN Partition or AP isolation feature that could be blocking traffic between wireless and wired devices.
