I upgraded my DCS-5222LB1 the other day from v2.03 to 2.10 and now ALL the video feeds are extremely GRAINY !!!
This is when viewed on a PC via browsing to the camera, or using the myDlinkLite app, or using tinycamMonitorPro (android), or using IPCamViewer (android).
I contacted dlink via online chat and they told me that 2.03 is no longer available - and they won't send it to me !!!!
Does anyone have the previous version 2.03 ??
I had no issues with that one, and the video was crystal clear.
Anyone ?

Forget it.
I found it.
ftp://ftp.dlink.ca/PRODUCTS/DCS-5222L/
I successfully installed the previous version 2.03 and the video is fine again.
I have no idea what's up with v2.10, but I am steering clear of it !!!

Welcome back Ice...
Was a factory reset performed before and after upgrading to v2.10? Just curious.
I've passed this along to D-Link for review: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=63380.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=63380.0)

Icemankent, can you please post images which show the difference?
Thanks in advace.
I bought this camera 2 days ago and am VERY dissapointed in the image quality. Like you said, it's extremely grainy. If a previous firmware can fix this, I would like to try that too. But I would like to see the before and after pictures to be sure it will fix the problem enough for my taste.
If not...I will send the camera back, since currently the picure is even worse then my way cheaper and older DCS-932L which only records in 640x480.

Is that in daytime mode?
Have you tried adjusting the image settings in the f/w?
What about nighttime mode?
-
It is not really bad in daytime mode, but it is terrible in nightmode.
This morning I adjusted the setting using this topic http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62852.msg255633#msg255633
That made things much better. But it is still worse than my cheap old DCS-932L.
