I just installed two Dir-860L routers. One is connected to the other as an access point. Both are revision A with 1.08 FW. Both work but the router being used as a wireless AP is slow 52-86Mbps, the speed of the other one is 433-866Mbps. Any suggestions?

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
How is the 2nd 860L connected?
Should be similar to this:
Turning a router into an AP. (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=40856.0)
Can use same SSID names and PW, however channels need to be different between each unit and channel farthest appart.

Just as the user manual instructed.

OOPS, forgot the info.
Hardware version A1, Firmware version 1.08

What happens if you disable the wireless on the 1st unit and leave the radio going on the AP?
How about swapping places with each unit and test?

I'll try your suggestions.
-
What wireless modes and setting are you using on each unit?

I swapped both routers, reset & set them up. They'r working as they should now.
Thanks for you help.
