I'm getting the message on both my PCs (different location than camera) and mobile devices to upgrade to firmware 2.10.12.
Can the firmware be safely upgraded from a mobile device?
and why does the notification have to come up every time I access the camera? This is way overkill.
Thanks,
Tom

Untll FW updates have been performed, it's a notification to let you know it should be perfomred.
If you are certain that the camera has a GOOD wifi connection to the main host router, then it's safe to update the camera. If your not experiencing any problems with the camera, you may want to skip updating as well. Users are seeing some issues with this version of FW:
