Title: USB to NAS
Post by: dagonas on November 02, 2015, 12:49:02 PM
Hi

I want to copy from USB to a NAS volume

Is there a better way to do this than the Nas web interface?
Thanks

What NAS product model do you refer to?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
Best way would be connect the USB drive to a PC and copy the files from the drive to the Mapped Drive feature in windows to the NAS volume you want the files to go to.

Model D320L

SPAIN

I thought that copying from the NAS USB Port will be faster than from PC

May not be. Test both ways and see.

No matter which way you do it copying from USB is going to be slow.  Although using a file manager on the computer to copy the files from the USB to the NAS will allow the transfer to be done in the background while you can continue with normal work.
