Title: Problems with router/not working
Post by: Itsnotworking on November 08, 2015, 08:40:36 AM
Hey guys,

So we have this DIR-615 at home (or rather two of them, we used one as second access point in a different part of the building)...
Anyway, one of the routers has stopped working. I could not access the router config page. I tried a factory reset, no success.

Now, the router is flashing all it's lights:
First, the power light comes on for about 7 seconds (it flashes once in between),
Then for like one second the Internet light comes on and shortly after that, for about half a second, the wifi light (both green). Then the LAN lights 1 and 3 come on together (again both green, only for one second), before the orange power light comes back on.

Router unresponsive to anything I do, I have even tried emergency flashing the firmware: Upload goes up to 100%, but no matter how long I wait, the "Success" page does not come up and router starts blinking its lights again.

Please help me fix this issue.

Thanks,
Frank

Try this:
Emergency Recovery Mode (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44909.msg163599#msg163599)

I presume if this fails then the router could be bad.

It's hardware version H.

Firmware, I cannot tell you (routers web page isn't working, as said above). The other router has Firmware 8.04 and we usually always updated both at the same time.

Already tried Emergency Flashing Firmware, called Emergency Recovery Mode by you.

Region is Alabama, with AT&T provider.

It it fails to recover the router then the router is probably hosed.

Double check the power supply out put, could be a bad PS.
