Title: No audio but only from D-Viewcam software, browser and mydlink app works.

I have a DCS-935L camera, the problem is that while from the browser or from the dlink app i get sound, i have a constant loud hissing/static sound from within the D-Viewcam software, latest version 3.63 install on WIndows XP. I tried to reinstall program and camera, i checked/unchecked record audio from schedule. I checked/unchecked the preview audio option, still this constant loud hissing/static sound. When i play the recorded videos the sound is the same loud hissing/static. I repeat that from the browser Java activex i get live feed with sound, i also get sound from camera on my phone with the mydlink app. SO its obviously something with the Dviewcam software. Can anyone please help? What could be the problem?

I installed the new version you linked. Nothing changed. What could possibly interfere with the D-ViewCam software and audio? As i said i get microphone sound from Browser live feed and from Dlink app for android. So its obvious that the Dviewcam software has an issue with Windows. What can i do? I am a PC technician so i could try a few suggestions regarding windows or dviewcam setting, just let me know what should i do. Btw Windows is XP Pro SP3. What i trully dont understand is how come Java Live Feed works and software doesnt :/

Any chance you have a different with with Windows 7 you can test with?

I installed the latest version at a WIndows 7 laptot, the same problem. Sound is a loud constant distortion. I update firmware again to 1.06. Nothing changed. Havent tried a reset of the camera yet though. In any case, what could possibly interfere with microphone captured through Dviewcam software? I remind that from browser java live feed has sound, as also the Dlink app from an android phone,

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
