Title: Wireless devices no longer show up under status tab of router settings?
Post by: mcinturf on November 12, 2015, 04:57:41 PM
Hi all. First post. I've had the DIR-655 for years and it has been a very reliable router for the most part. I have 4 wired devices and about 15 wireless devices that can connect. I use a network filter to only allow those devices. My problem is that just recently I've noticed that nothing is showing up under the wireless tab under status when I login to my router settings. This typically would show the devices and their strength. Any idea what is causing this? I've rebooted modem and router a few times and have checked the settings with various devices. I'm stumped. All of my devices, wired and wireless ARE connecting and working fine. Wireless devices just aren't showing up anymore under the tab. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again. (For older generation routers.)
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.

Hi. Thanks for the response.
HW Ver. A4
FW Ver. 1.21,  2008/10/09
Region. North America EST

ISP: Cable TWC
Modem: Arris TG862 (bridged)

I have tried ALL of those browsers with ad ons disabled

Frankly, everything is working, just nothing is showing up under it...this is what i see:
WIRELESS
View the wireless clients that are connected to the router. (A client might linger in the list for a few minutes after an unexpected disconnect.)

*normally the connected wireless devices and strengths would appear here but its just a blank white space*

Like I said, I'm really stumped. It was showing up then entire time I've owned this, the year it was released.  Just a few days ago it stopped showing. I've rebooted router and modem, though I'm not entirely sure I did it in the proper order...if there is one.

Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Even IE in compatibility mode? I've got an A3 with v1.1x FW and I had to use compatibility mode to get the UI to display correctly.

FYI, mine is the same, nothing showing under the status-wireless. This is from being viewed on my kindle browser.
If I go into Status-device info I see everything.

Ibtried from laptopbwith both IE and Firefox, same result. Maybe it just doesn't show devices with reservations, as all of my and OPs are.

I'll pull out my A3 and have a look.
