Title: How do you disable/turn off the wireless on DIR-890L/R
Post by: Jason303 on November 17, 2015, 10:33:00 AM

I am in the DIR-890L/R administrative menu and select Settings -> Wireless. It says:

Smart Connect: Enable

I don't see any other setting here that would allow me to disable/turn off the wireless on this router. If I change the setting to Smart Connect: Disable will that turn off the wireless on this router so that it would only use the wired internet ports? If not what setting do I have to change to disable/turn off the wireless on this router?

Thanks!

DIR-890L    HW:A1    FW:1.08

Thanks! Once I disabled the Smart Connect I could see the other wireless disable settings.

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?[/]

You have to disable Smart WiFi, then the additional menu options well be available. Select the slider bar to disable the either WiFi radio at the top of each radio section in the menu.
