Hello,
I'm new here, and I just bought a D-Link DNS-320L with one WD Green 2TB.
I plugged it into the NAS, and the LED is blue, but when I connect the administration center, I get a "no volume found". So I guess my drive is not detected…
I have no idea of what I can do. Does someone had the same problem here?
Many thanks for your answers,
Christopher.

- What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Is the drive you have on the recommended drive list that D-Link puts out on the 320Ls support page?
Does the drive work in a PC when connected there? Rule out a bad drive.

Well, I just tried to put my hard disk inside a computer, I can see it in the BIOS, but not in Windows, and the BIOS tells me that the volume is 0.0GB.
The drive is a wd20ezrx (compatible with DNS-320L), and the firmware is 1.6 (last one). The hardware is A3.
I'm french.
Is it a hard drive problem or I just have to format it (what tool can I use to format it because I cannot see it in Windows)?

See if windows can format the drive. If it can't or fails in anyway, return the drive.

Windows can't see the drive, so I guess that I have to return it.
Thanks for your really fast answer! :)

Good Luck on the next drive. Let us know how it goes. ;)
