- What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Are you connecting to the DNS IP address in a web browser?
PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I will check the firmware and hardware versions when I return home.
I am based in the UK.
I've not attempted to connect via a browser in the first instance. Can I still access the DNS via browser if I have not completed the set up wizard? If so, do I even need to complete the wizard process?

I believe you can setup the DNS using it's web page. That's how I set my DNS-345 up.

OK, thanks. Will attempt that and report back.

As an addon, we have never used the external setup wizard - it doesn't run on OS/2 - and always use the NAS built in web UI, and we have setup a lot of them. The only thing you need to know to do that is the IP address of the NAS and there are several ways of finding that out available.

So, some significant success, but not completely sorted yet.
Managed to successfully set up the NAS by accessing via the IP address in the browser. Firefox and IE both seemed to work. Firware was v1.03, now updated to v1.06. I think unrelated to the CD-ROM Wizard issue though as that still does not work.
Now I'm having issues signing in to MyDLink from ShareCenter via the browser. I've tried both Firefox and IE, but both give the error: "Sign in mydlnk portal Failure." I can successfully sign in via the Android phone app or PC browser though.
Not being able to access my NAS via mobile devices is a bit of a deal-breaker for me. Is this a known issue? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks again.

Be sure that the DNS have a admin PW set. I know from using routers, if a PW isn't set, attempting to associate with the MDL service will cause an error.

Solved it. I was trying to use a username/password previously created via the mydlink website. Seems that to associate a mydlink user ID with the NAS, the user ID needs to be created from within the web UI. I managed this after deleting my user ID on the mydlink website and then re-creating from the web UI page.
Thanks again for your time and replies.

Glad you got it working. Thanks for the info.
Enjoy. ;)
