I am sure those of you who use the app are already aware that the latest version of D-ViewCam Mobile for iPhone/iOS no longer allows you to connect to your D-ViewCam Server.
It attempts to connect and then responds with "Cannot connect to the server." This happened in the 1.8.x release of the app. This app worked perfectly with the previous version 1.6.1. I know this is a long-shot, but does anyone out there have a backup of their app? I am looking for the D-ViewCam 1.6.1.ipa file.
If anyone has a copy of this file, please contact me thru the board or by email at jimrest at outlook dot com.
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Any apps from D-Link for iPhone are acquired from the Apple store and can't be saved separately.

Thanks FurryNutz, I appreciate the comment; however, you can save an iPhone/iPad App. If the individual who has the 1.6.1 app on their phone has not updated their app or they backed up their iPhone/iPad to their computer (Windows) then the D-ViewCam Mobile.ipa file will be located in their Itunes --> ITunes Media folder.
They can zip that file send it to me and I can copy over the 1.8.0 app.
Thanks again for your response.
Regards,
Jim

Ah ok, understand the process now.
Good Luck.

I see v1.8.1 posted today. ;D

Yes it did and unfortunately it is displaying the same problems. I don't know what they did but they need to go back to 1.6.1 as it was working great then. Still looking for an alternative.
At this point I would be willing to pay someone to develop and app that works or I renew my request anyone out there with 1.6.1 please contact me.
Regards,
Jim

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. This seems like an issue with your device or between the device and the DVC services and needs to be reviewed by support. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

@FurryNutz: Will do and thanks for the information.
