I am currently using a WPA Personal network at home. However, there is a second WEP network that is always in the background that I would like to remove, as it is interfering home users connecting to WIFI.
Any suggestions on how to remove the WEP network.

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Is this other wireless network in your house or a neighboring wireless network?
How are you determining this other network?
Wireless Configurations
- Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
- Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48327.0) to find out. How many?

Thank you for your response
Not sure about the hardware version (other than DIR-655)
Firmware -2.11NA , 18, Jul, 2013
I am in Ontario, Canada
The other network is in my house. Seems to be leftover from when I switched from WEP to WPA Personal.
I can see it when I view available networks. It is there, but does not work.
I will try that WIFI scanner...thanks.
Really just want to remove it.

If you disable the WiFi radio on the 655, does the WEP still appear? Where are you seeing this appear at?

This maybe a OS profile that was previously used and would need to be removed from the OS and not having to do with the router settings.
