Title: DCS-5029L - Networking Recording Fails
Post by: lake.telecom on January 15, 2016, 07:47:34 AM
I have (3) DCS-5029L cameras and in setting up a network recording works however it records the file around 20 meg and then starts to record the new 20 meg files and then the finished file disappears. After that hour is up the folder even disappears when it creates the next hour folder.
This is happening on a Windows 7 Prof & Windows Server 2012.

I have emailed tech support with no response, so I am looking any suggestions to look for, it would be great that when I record to the network it would let me overwrite the files, removed them or just keep them, but the recorded files go away within 5 minutes or being recorded.

Any thoughts?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62395.0)

How are the cameras configured for recording?
How are the cameras configured to send or what app are you using to capture the recordings?
