After failing to upgrade firmware, I was using the Emergency procedure.
According to the e-net adapter status -- I watched -- it uploaded the whole original v5.10 bin. Webpage never shows "success" but just spinning windows thingie in the top left of the browser.
What should I do now? I've gotten this far before and tried 30-30-30 but when I restart I either get the same send page or just the solid orange light.

I would but I received no advice. As I said software upload but no success message. 30-30-30 post upgrade does nothing.
What is the procedure after software is uploaded (with or without success message)
-
Did you follow the linked Emergency Recovery Mode proceedure?

As I said in my original post, it is during the ERP that I get a problem. I see the upload page and then upload the software (verified by adapter status page) but never get success message.
the ERP states
After the firmware successfully loads, a Success page will display
If the Success page fails to display, then repeat steps 3 through 9
I have done it 8-10 times and uploaded data but no success message. After file has uploaded I tried 30-30-30. Same orange light.
I was looking for advice on what else to try after the software uploads but without success message.

Did you try power cycling the router after sending the file?
30-30-30 does not work on D-Link routers.
I presume if you have tired all and the router still fails to come to ready, it's bricked and it's time for a new router.

I tried cycling, 303030, cursing and praying -- though not necessarily in that order.
Off to the store.

Sorry about that. Sometimes they get bricked beyond recovery.
Keep that FAQ in mind for your next D-link router.
Good Luck.
