Hi, I bought a new DLink DIR 615 N300. However instead of showing the link speed 300mbps, Windows shows it 150mbps even when the router is sitting beside the laptop. I am using a HP Pavilion 15-ab032tx with Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi adapter. Is it beacuse 150mbps is the max speed of my WLAN card or maybe there is a problem with my router?

Yes. You would need a N300 adapter See here (http://www.realtek.com.tw/products/productsView.aspx?Langid=1&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&ProdID=272)
72.2Mbps receive PHY rate and 72.2Mbps transmit PHY rate using 20MHz bandwidth
150Mbps receive PHY rate and 150Mbps transmit PHY rate using 40MHz bandwidth

Thanks for the prompt reply. The link is for RTL8188CE. Are RTL8188CE and RTL8723BE the same card?

No, my mistake. Google must have assumed the two were the same. They are both N150 cards though. Found the specs via FCC site. See page 1 of manual. (https://fccid.io/document.php?id=2174625)
