I just recently upgraded to the latest firmware for this camera and now the camera does not send pictures but rather what appears to be an encoding message attachments, has anyone experienced this similar issue, the camera was sending proper motion detection notification prior to the upgrade. Chat support was not able to resolve.

Can you revert back to the prior loaded FW version?
Was there a problem seen before upgrading FW?
-
The camera was sending pictures fine before the upgrade to Firmware V 2.12.01 (was running 2.10.12), the camera is located in another city and I think I have to do the firmware downgrade manually when I am back there, don't think I should try and do this remotely?
-
Ya, I'd do it locally.
Were you directed to upgrade the FW?
-
yes, it was also annoying to keep seeing the message to upgrade firmware on the mydlink portal site, I was even told by support prior to the upgrade it would be fine >:(
-
You might contact support back and advise them of what happens after doing the update to let them know.

I had the same problem. Instead of sending a picture, it sended me jibberish.
Reverting back to the previous FW fixed the problem.

Typical for these f/w upgrades. "Fix" something obscure, break other functionality that worked.
It's time for dlink to open source the f/w and give up control since they can't handle it.
