Title: Video not playing properly
Post by: SammySpade on February 14, 2016, 03:41:44 PM
Using KODI on the PC and the video stored on the NAS (340L) It plays fine then
suddenly the video stops and the sound continues, no issues with files stored on the
KODI PC, it played 43 minutes of a 50 minute video clip and then had playback issues.

The file is fine and plays back fine when accessed again and skipped to that time frame.

Anyone come across this before? Thanks.

PS..  When that computer boots up the NAS is not accessible, when clicking computer and
opening it up there is a red x on the NAS drive letter.
Double click it to browse the NAS and it goes green and KODI can then access it.

Done something wrong again?   :)

Maybe you could confirm video info (size/quality/codec etc)

Regarding when computer boots - mine is the same except I have to input id and password

560MB  MKV  40 minute show 704x482 dimensions.
H264, Mpeg4  AVC (part 10) avc1
A52 audio (aka AC3)

Thats the info from VLC.

First time she tried playing that file it jumped and skipped like it was corrupt, i played it
fine on my PC. Next day she tried it and it was all fine.

Odd that PC gives a red X on that drive letter saying its not available when the computer
first starts and all computers are on the same wired network.

Thanks
