Hi,
Today I created a separate bridge/LAN for my cameras. This LAN has a different IP-range and so the camera received a different IP address from the DHCP server.
No problem so far. My DCS-2332L works flawless. The DCS-5222L does also operate fine, reacting on motion detection, FTP video to the FTP server, etc, but....
When you log on to the device web-interface, the live stream is shown. When you click on the SETUP tab, I get prompt to reenter my credentials. When I do, it loops and keeps asking for my credentials. When I connect the camera to the original LAN, and serving the IP address it had for years, everything works fine again. When I leave it at the original LAN and give it another IP address within the same range (x.y.z.70 -> x.y.z.161), the problem occurs again...
I searched on the forum and via Google, but cannot find any post on this problem. I even downgraded from version 1.14 to version 1.12, but that did not help either...
Has anyone ever experienced this behavior and managed to solve it?
A reaction is highly appreciated.
A.

Is the browser storing the password? Try a different one.

Hmmm... I don't see what difference that makes.
I however tested with Firefox and Internet Explorer before posting at the forum.
I switched back to its original IP address and am able to manage the camera again. Interesting is that the same problem occures when I connect to the camera via its internal DNS name.
I will see if there is anything I can do to fix this and if so, report it in this topic.

Well, since there was not much to change, I decided to reset to the factory defaults and everything came back like it should.
Since I am afraid that restoring the backed-up config will restore the problem, I manually configured the cam and so far everything looks fine.
If that changes, I will report.
Thanks for your reply

Sometimes save configurations files can be generated as corrupt then using them again may cause problems. I recommend that after doing a factory reset, that if the new configuration works, save a new configuration to file. I would use IE or FF.

We have the same oppinion. Manually reconfigured the cam and saved the working config.
Case closed for me ;D
