Title: Update Trying to get my VOIP Sipura modem Model SPA-1001 to work with my DIR-615
Post by: pcone2 on July 13, 2009, 12:09:30 AM
I got a D-Link DIR-615 to replace an old Lynksys that stopped working.  My 615 has Firmware 3.01 runnig on it.  I'm trying to get the DIR-615 to recognize my Sipura SPA-1001 modem that I pluged into LAN port 2 on the back of the router.  The sipura's address is 192.168.1.2 and when I try to go there, I get timed out.  I don't see anything.  The router light for the LAN port 2 is lit up so I know there's a connection but I can't get to the ip address.  Any suggestions?
Thanks,
pcone2

Update-Well I'm a bit redfaced.  Seems I made a rather rookie mistake and had the modem IP address set to an address outside of the router's internal IP range.  In the words of Emily Litella- Never Mind

Quality of Service (QoS) is extremely limited on the 615.  It is either "on" or "off" and most VOIP would like to have "higher" QoS priority than the other traffic.
