Hello everyone, Iīve bought a DCS 2332l and itīs connected to my network via wireless, but it freezes every day. The mobile app dlink lite only shows me the camera video 10% of the time I try to access it. It sucks! As it is using wireless connection and itīs outside of my house, when I need to reboot, it is a hard job to do. Any ideas how to solve it?
The dlink lite used to work, but after the latest update, it became a crap.
Another issue is the time to get the video. It takes 30s to open the app and get the video.
I need to buy 2 additional cameras, but Iīll probably not buy Dlink, because of this bad experience.
Thanks for your help

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62395.0)
- Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
- Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48327.0) to find out. How many?

Start with the above troubleshooting. Honestly if you are have these kinds of issues I would suggest bringing the camera inside (near the router) and start the troubleshooting process. It's much easier to test and do a full reset if needed. Once you get things working reliably inside then you can eliminate a lot of variables.
Also... I would suggest that you use Justconnect+ (free) to view and troubleshoot the camera. It is much quicker and easier to setup than Mydlink lite. It doesn't offer sound though. The app I use for that is LiveCams Pro (paid).

Any status on this? ???

Hello guys, the camera gets back to work properly. I think the port forwarding configuration helped. The only strange think is that now I can't see videos in 720p. It only shows the options 240 and 480. Any thoughts?

Where are you seeing 240 and 480 only? Is this when you are looking at the settings for the camera or on the phone app?

Iīve changed the config of video in my profile from h.264 to MPEG4 and that was limitating to the 480px as maximum. I just changed back to H.264 and now itīs working again. Thank you guys for your support. In the last few weeks Iīve changed my mind about byuing new Dlink cams. Now itīs all working. Cheers

Sounds like a intermittent hang on something. Glad switching it over and back resolved it.
Enjoy. ;)
