Title: Add-on "Transmission v2.92 (14714)" for D-Link NAS
Post by: vtverdohleb on March 23, 2016, 10:38:26 AM
[Add-on] Transmission v2.92 (14714)

[Description]
Transmission is a BitTorrent client which features a simple interface on top of a cross-platform back-end.
Transmission allows users to download files from the Internet and upload their own files or torrents. By grabbing items and adding them to the interface, users can create queues of files to be downloaded and uploaded. Within the file selection menus, users can customise their downloads down to components of individual files. Transmission also seeds—that is, it can re-upload downloaded content.

[Attention]
Everyone running 2.90 on OS X should immediately upgrade to and run 2.92, as they may have downloaded a malware-infected file. This new version will make sure that the “OSX.KeRanger.A” ransomware (more information available here) is correctly removed from your computer.
Users of 2.91 should also immediately upgrade to and run 2.92. Even though 2.91 was never infected, it did not automatically remove the malware-infected file.

[Version]
Add-on Package v1.15

How can I enter the serial number for this?

I want to get to the paid side of it, I downloaded the COM version and was going to contribute, but I can't figure out what I need to do here.

Thanks.

Hello!

I need some help. I got the following add-on:
DNS-320L Transmission Package v1.15_03102016_COM

Is this paid version or free? I installed it on my dns-320l but I'm getting an unauthorized connection when I try to access the web interface. Tried to read around for solutions and apparently it needs whitelisting the my ip but there is no "configure" button on the launch page:

Could you help? Thank you.

An add-on with sufix COM (COMMERCIAL) is paid version of add-on. Sufix UA (like Ukraine) denotes free add-on.

How it goes with payment? First you make $5 donation (you can pay with credit card or via PaylPal) and for this $5 you will get 225 days of grace period for free access to all free add-ons (without limitation of 2 downloads per 3 hours).

Now, for each commercial payed add-on you have to give (pay) 85 days of this grace period. So if you want to buy commercial (last version) of add-on, your grace period will be reduced for 85 days. If you take another commercial add-on, it costs additional 85 day until you exceed your grace period. Then you have to make additional donation and it goes all over again.

But bear in mind, this payment (donation) is given just for packaging of components into NAS add-on. With it you pay just effort of packaging the add-on itself. If software that is packaged inside add-on (majority of them are) is freeware you will not have to pay anything else. But if packaged software itself is commercial one (e.g. Twonky media server) you will have to buy license for this software from original company which made this software.

What's the difference between commercial and free add-on, well, commercial version packages the last version of components and software which means that has bug fixed and additional functionalites.  E.g. with free add-on of Transmission BT client you'll get basic functionality and basic WebUI, commercial version will give you web interface to change configuration and new Web interface.
