I moved my camera and turned on motion detection. Once I got that setup the way I wanted I started trying different firmware versions. I ended up having to use 1.11. At this point all was still well. I then decided the best thing would be to do a factory reset to make sure no setting s became corrupt because of the firmware downgrade (1.14 to 1.11). I tried using the hardware reset button in the back but it never did a factory reset, it would just restart the cam with all previous setting intact. At this point motion detection was still working. I then did a software factory reset (Maintenance > Restore To Factory Default). At this point motion detection stopped working. I can still do an email test and it will send an image but motion events will not send at all.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get this thing back to normal?

I figured out what was going on. There weren't any motion squares selected.
I don't run Java on my computer so I had no way of knowing this but I decided to check it. So I had to load Java then update to the latest fw (1.14) as 1.11 isn't compatible with the latest Java. I then enabled all the motion squares. Then I downgraded back to 1.11 and uninstalled Java.
Update:
After doing the above I lost some settings and things got weird. What I did was a software restore to factory defaults (fw1.11) then I temporarily loaded Java 7u45 as this version allows access to the live view so that I could set the active area in motion detection. All is tested and working

Glad you got it working. I presume v1.14 would work as well if you had the sections selected?

Yes, 1.14 works fine but I'm still using 1.11 because the iOS app I'm currently using (JustConnect+) doesn't work with 1.14. Also I just bought two 934L's and they don't work with JustConnect+ either no matter what firmware I'm using. I'm testing out a different app right now that looks very promising but it has an issue with my 2332L but they are working on that.

Ok. Thanks for confirming. I'll see if I can find some information out on JC+.
