Title: When my DWA-130 gets hot, it stops talking to my D-Link N Router
Post by: jobshopr on November 11, 2007, 07:33:35 PM
I've noticed that sometimes my DWA-130 gets hot and when it does I can still see my neighbor's AP, but not my D-Link N router.
Then when it does connect, it doesn't get an IP.
My other wirless clients (I have 3 others) work fine.
I unplug it, let it cool, and then it works again.

Anyone else seeing this?  I might have to return it to D-Link.

If it only happens when it seems to overheat, make sure it is placed in an open environment.  If it already is then it seems like it would have to be replaced.  Its usually easier to replace it at the original place of purchase unless you are beyond the return period but of course Dlink will replace it under their warranty.

This hoeat problem seems to also occur on my DWA-130.  It keeps reconnecting to my router (see:  http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=1831.0 )
