I love this DCS-960L due to 180degrees viewing.
However, of all my other IP camera model, this 960L tends to be very hot during night time whenever the 2-IR Leds are working. Is this normal?
I am just worried that lifespan is reduced.

Mine as well, I'm from Singapore, and the weather is hot as well currently. The design of this model shouldn't be black in color. Making this camera get hot easily.

The color of the camera had nothing to do with it (unless you put it in the sun).
The newer and better image sensors have always run hot. Throw in some decoding to fix the fish eye effect, and you have more heat.

I do get the posters point about using the camera in a hot area without air conditioning. . It would suck. Like having a 100 watt + light bulb in your room adding heat.
