Does anybody know how to get the syslog server to work ?
I always get the message "Cannot locate the syslog folder!"
I tried with the standard 'Volume_1", but tried also newly created ones and other already existing folders, but it keeps telling me the same thing. When I click "Save settings", the server doesn't start and shows the pop-up message : "Cannot locate the syslog folder!".
Also when I go to "System Status" under "System Services" I can't start the service. When I try to start it from there, the screen rebuilts after a few seconds and shows the same gray status flag and the green arrow next to it (instead of the red 'stop'-button) : the service clearly doesn't start.
Anybody got this to work ??
I would be greatfull if anybody could give me tip....
My firmware : 1.07 (10/19/2015)

As far as I can remember that feature is for use with other devices
From manual.
Enable Syslog: Click to activate the Syslog server functionality of
your device to be able to receive logs from other ShareCenters.
Syslog Server IP: Enter the IP address of an external Syslog server that
you wish to send the logs of this device to.
You might get it to work if you have a directory var/log off the root directory (note the forward slash) but I can't test that at the moment.

After a lot of searching, I decided to reformat and restart with a clean install.
It worked... !!!
But the sad news is that when I wanted to modify something on the settings, then it started over to give that message.
Somehow, somewhere there is something left on the harddisk after a first launch that prevents it to restart after some reconfiguration.
Probably a small setting saved somewhere.... But what and where ??
I installed telnet in order to be able to see all system files, but where should I look and what should I change or delete ??
