Title: How to change channels on the DIR-879
Post by: retired827 on June 26, 2016, 03:41:26 PM
Presently I am trying to run another router to extend  wifi coverage. To do this the other router should be on a different channel. Presently I have an old Linksys E3200 running in my garage with the same SSID and password so I can walk from house to garage with no breakup. This is working fine so far that I have decide to add another old linksys wrt150n with dd-wrt software to the other side of the house to extend coverage.
Most d-link cameras are working great but my DCS-2630L HD camera seems to need to be close to wifi to get moving pictures. The garage router is far enough away that the channels are not a problem, but my new router will be within 15ft, so changing channels will be a benefit, any suggestions on changing channels on the DIR-879 router.

Thanks Bob

If you disable Smart Connect, you can change channels:
