Title: Resources on compiling Add ons
Post by: carnegiea on July 13, 2016, 09:23:22 AM
Hi there,

Anyone has any clue on custom compilation or building own add ons for this model DNS-320L? Perhaps some workflows are very much appreciated

Thank you

Universal cross-recompile the script does not exist. For cross-recompile most of the new library/software I spend a lot of time choosing the optimal parameters.
Toolchain is here ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dns/dns-320l/driver_software/DNS-320L_sw_reva_GPLcode.tgz (http://ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dns/dns-320l/driver_software/DNS-320L_sw_reva_GPLcode.tgz)

Thank you for your sharing.
I noticed you had developed quite a lot of add ons. Wondering if DLINK would do a certification on these custom add ons for their client base value added service.
The cross-recompile should involve kernel or I misunderstood something?

If I understand the question - the vast majority of software, system kernel source code is required. And there are programs that use java, perl, php, etc. This software does not require any compilation, only requires proper assembly in the addon.
