Title: DIR-860L Crashing Constantly
Post by: dustin1648505 on July 27, 2016, 07:09:30 PM
Hi everyone. I have a DIR-806L router and it is constantly crashing on me. Devices that are connected lose internet connectivity and devices can't find the wifi networks when it crashes, and both the power light and the globe light stay green. I usually have no idea it has crashed until I need to use the wifi and I notice a device can't find my network. Hardware version A and firmware is current. Router was bought new and only had it for 2 months. Connectivity is usually restored after power cycling the router once, sometimes a few times. It's starting to become an annoying enough problem that I'm considering buying a different brand of router, particularly since I share wifi with the neighbors and if it crashes when I'm not home, they are SOL. Has anyone else had similar problems or have any suggestions?

Router Placement
Forum User - "Well I feel really dumb. After moving the router away from other electronic devices my speeds are back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone experiencing slow speeds, you might want to move it away from other electronics and see if that helps."
3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.
