Title: Not Seeing USB After Firmware Upgrade
Post by: marko on July 16, 2009, 02:03:05 PM
Had Firmware 1.13 installed and upgraded to 1.20 which installed fine. Then I noticed that the USB light wasn't on the router and since then not been able to get router to recognize printer which had worked fine on 1.13 firmware. Any ideas as the system won't let you re-load 1.13

If you had read the notes, you can not "roll-back" the 1.20 firmware.  Once you upate to 1.20, that's the level the unit is now at, period.

Yeah I read that, but given the 1.20 firmware doesn't seem to allow the router to recognise the USB port what's the best course of action, return it for a refund and start over for a new model and 1.13 firmware?

I have this same issue along with poor performance and I am unable to connect to my SlingBox now, which was working prior to the firmware upgrade.  I read in another post that you may need to re-configure and not use a saved configuration (which is what I did). I may try restting the router to default and then try the re-configure and see if that fixes the issue.  It's pretty sad that D-Link didn't test this firmware to make sure it was compatible with previous configurations. I see they are not doing much to answer any questions as well, very disappointing.
