Title: Max Power Consumption 8.4W per manual
Post by: BAMoh on August 11, 2016, 09:20:58 PM
Does anyone know if the 8.4w consumption is based on the motor running for pan and tilt? What is the baseline power consumption. I am a bit surprised power consumption is so high. Thanks in advance.

OK - I see you also found this.

Probably?!

You need something like this:

I have a couple around my place (not necessarily this model)... just to check desktop CPU power usage... It should report close enough to the pull on the camera you are testing.
---edit---
I'm not sure how dumb downed Radio Shack is these days - (are they still around?)  - but they should be able to sell you a power adapter with an interchangeable  plug that fits...

Ya radio shack is still around.

You can find more exact power adapters from D-Link. Just ask. I wouldn't risk swapping adapters that are not of the same spec as designed. Your HW though.

Good Luck.
