I was wondering if there is an upgrade path for moving to something newer with more and better features? There are a lot of models out there now but wanted to stay with d-link if possible. Can these two raid drives be moved or do I need to do a backup restore on the new server. Hope someone is still watching these forums!

Usually need to keep the same model due to FW being different across the models. There is no upgrade path. :-\
Do you have the data backed up in a different location?

Hey furry! hows it going? I do. I have a 2gb drive attached via usb that I back up to occasionally. I guess I can always format the two drives and install them in whatever I end up getting and then restore what I want from that. Have you gotten any experience with the 327? It looks like it isn't all that new either? Any rumors of new hardware coming?

Hey Dave, going well here.
Ya I asked about upgrade path from D-Link, there isn't any. Sorry. ::)
D-Link recommended the 327 for a friend of mine. I'm waiting to hear from her and when and if I need to come over to help set it up. So I don't know of any issues as of yet. She just wants to use it for storage and remote accessibility, music and pictures. Not sure if that's the same needs as you might have. I think the 327 is meant to be simple as possible. Nothing too advanced.
I have the DNS-345. ;D
