Hi
I own a dir-655 router version A4 with 1.37 firmware. I have noticed lately that the address pool range is not used entirely. My IP range starts at 100 and stop at 199. it seems that 100 is never used , 101 and 102 are used and then it skips to 180, then 190 thru 199 are used. Is there a way to reset the IP pool so all the IPs in the range are used? I have tried to reset to factory default and reload the latest firmware but that did not change anything.
Any help in the matter is appreciated.
Thank you
Massimo

Do you have something already using .100 or had any device i the past the used .100?
Not sure if the DHCP logic is set up for use an IP specifically in sequence or random. I've seen this before on older model routers. I presume if the devices are getting an IP address, things should be good. You can set an IP address and use .100 if it's not being used.

Hi Thank you for the reply
The router is set to renew the lease every 24 hours. I only have a bunch of devices and I should use not more than 20 ips....I remember it was always giving the first IP address from the range and now is completely random....not sure if it is normal.

If your not encountering any problems with IP addressing, you'll be fine. Ya, it would be nice to have IPs addressed sequentially by the router. Random is fine as well. I set my devices up for reservations. Static IPs set on devices like printers, NAS and controllers or devices that don't need much router management or internet access.
