Title: Sync files between NAS and computer
Post by: jbouv55151 on October 30, 2016, 12:33:41 AM
Hello,
I’m considering buying a DNS-320 L and I would like to have a basic information, for which I didn't find any answer.
Is it possible to sync file between computer and NAS as a basic function? Like Dropbox, One Drive, Google drive do with desktop app?

It can be done by using an addon but you will have to define how exactly you want the sync to work.

If you want to setup an automatic backup of your computer/s there are two ways, 1) the built in backup program and, 2) the Rsync addon to permit incremental backups of changed files.

Thank you for your feedback. I will try that.

One thing I will add.  If you decide to use Rsync make sure you have read up on what it can do and run several test updates to make sure it is doing what you want.
