Hello,
Is there any way to connect/disconnect the internet without a web browser and log into the modem console with username and password manually ?
my DSL modem 2520U is configured to connect using PPPoE but for some reason, I can't change connection mode to Bridge and connect using a broadband connection. Also, I can't disable the network adapter.
Is it possible to write a program or batch file that send a connect/disconnect command to the router ?
Please give me an idea to solve this problem.

- What Hardware version is your modem? Look at the sticker under modem.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
- What region are you located?
I don't believe so.
Review the user manual to see if there is a bridge mode option. Something called Transparent mode would be similar to Bridge mode.

Is this the primary modem and router or do you have another external router your wanting to connect to it?
Can you select bridge mode at all?
What browser are you using with this modem?

this is the only modem I have. it is connected to my laptop.
as I mentioned in the previous reply although the modem has bridge connection but for some reason, I do not want to use bridge mode.
my purpose is to find an easy way to connect or disconnect the internet instead of login with a browser and click on Connect button.
IE is my default browser.

If the modem is the only access to your ISP, then Bridge mode isn't needed or required. Your ISP needs PPPoE. Bridge mode is only used if you want to move the modems NAT and router functions to a external router like a DIR series router.

Is there any way to do connect/disconnect process automatically with this modem, for example, with writing codes?
I want to find a start point for this purpose.

I don't believe there is. Most D-Link products aside some cameras and NAS are mostly UI based configurations.
