Hi,
I am trying to set up DNS-320L and I am having troubles logging in to the ShareCenter WebUI (192.168.1.11).
I have tried setting it up using the Wizard from the CD that came with the DNS (using Windows) and also by downloading the wizard from the website (using Mac).
I have tried different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari), tried clearing cache and disabling Addblock.
I cannot upgrade the firmware, because I cannot even log in properly ;/
I would appreciate any kind of help.
Many Thanks!!
On the console I can see:

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
The DNS defaults to a 192.168.0.# address I believe.
Is the DNS getting a Dynamic IP address from the main host router? Look at the routers DHCP client table and see what IP address the DNS is actually getting.
I recommend using a Static IP address ON the DNS set to 192.168.#.32 or .20.

Hi,
- Hardware:
DNS-320L
P/N: ENS320LM.....A4E
H/W Ver.: A4 F/W Ver.: 1.06
S/N: R3IM4G7003873
- Firmware: currently the one I downloaded from the D-Link website: http://d2okd4tdjucp2n.cloudfront.net/DNS-320L/DNS-320L_Setup_Wizard_v1.2.0.8_01082016(Mac).dmg (I cannot log into the DNS's page ;/)
- Region: Italy
- Router: D-Link DSL-2750B
- The Internet doesn't have Static IP
Thanks!

-
Sorry for a silly question, but how do I actually do that? ;/
-
Log into your DSL modem and look at it's connected client table.
-
I just tried running the wizard again in different apartment (with obviously different network) and it works... the question is why? ;-) or what can I do to investigate the issue? I will try again at the desired place tomorrow but not sure where to look, or what could be the problem ;// any suggestions?
I managed to upgrade the firmware to: 1.08b08

-
right now (at the place where it works) I can see the router's table and the DNS's IP is actually the one I'm using (192.168.0.106). I guess I will check that in the other place tomorrow. And if it isn't? What will I be able to try?
-
Then 192.168.0.106 should be accessible. I presume at this place, the router is using 192.168.0.### as the IP address pool.
If the DSL modem is using 1.### then you could try this. Set a static IP address on your PC for 192.168.0.49 and subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Can leave gateway empty. Then directly connect to the DNS with a LAN cable. I want to say that the default IP address for a new DNS is 192.168.0.32. Look at the user manual to see if it lists a default IP address, then connect to it there. If you can gain access to the DNS, then change the DNS networking from 192.168.0.### to 192.168.1.20. Filling the same subnet mask and gateway that you get from the modem as well. DNS addresses can be either the modems 192.168.1.1 address or default ISP DNS addresses. This will fit in with what your modem is using on its IP address pool. Save settings, then disconnect the PC from the DNS and connect the DNS back with the modem. Change your PC networking settings from static back to Auto Obtain IP addressing and reconnect with your modem. You should be able to access the DNS now at 192.168.0.20.
Or you can change the modems default IP address pool from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.1. Then restart the DNS and your PC and ALL other devices so that the new .0.### pool can be used.
Seems odd that the DNS isn't detecting the .1.### though from the modem.

OK, I'll give it a go and will let you know. Many thanks for your help
-
;) Hope it works out.

If you are using windows on your computer you can use Netscan by SoftPerfect http://www.softperfect.com/products/networkscanner/ (http://www.softperfect.com/products/networkscanner/) it is a free program that will find all devices on your network and tell you what their IP addresses are.
From your description it sounds as if your router is using 192.168.1.xxx for its DHCP range. By default the NAS uses 192.168.0.32 as its IP address (the .1 and .0 subnets will never see each other).
One thing you need to do is check that your NAS will get its IP address from the DHCP server. That way it does not matter which router you use (you just have to find the IP address and Netscan will do that for you).
There is another posibility, the one FurryNutz pointed out, change the default .1 subnet on your router to the .0 subnet (just why D-Link use two subnets on their devices is beyond me, you would think they would want their units to be able to work together).

unfortunately it is still not working...
I run the wizard as well and checked the router IP table and it's all set to the same IP now (192.168.1.11), but Im still getting the errors and the webUI is not loading.
Also, right now Im using my mac and cannot connect the DNS directly to my laptop (I dont have my adapter on me)

Can you change your routers IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.1 then try? You'll need to fully reboot the router and ALL connected devices to gain the new IP address pool string.
-
is it the only option? I have couple of items connected and it would be a pain to re-do all that...
Do you know whats the problem right now? Why is it not connecting properly?
-
Something seems to be in conflict or something when it's connected to this router using 192.168.1.1.
You sure you don't have any other devices using 1.11?
One thing you can try, Disconnect ALL other devices accept for 1 wired PC and the DNS. Change the routers ip address to .0.1 temporarily. See if you can get the DNS working there. If you can, then go in and change the DNS to a static IP address of 192.168.1.20 and the gate way to 192.168.1.1. Save settings then power Down the DNS. Go back and change the routers IP address back to 192.168.1.1. Reboot the router and your PC and check that you can access the internet. Then power ON the DNS. Try accessing 192.168.1.20 after the DNS is ready.
What is the DHCP IP address pool set for on the DSL modem? 192.168.1.100 thru .200?
-
I think the pool is set for 192.168.1.1 and up
In the router I have a list of devices and their IP is from 192.168.1.2 to x.x.x.14 and the DNS is 192.168.1.11 (not sure how to include a screenshot).
but how do I change DNS IP when I cannot access the webUI? I run the wizard again?
and not sure how to change IP of the router ;/ sorry, I dont have much experience in this field
-
ok, I found some settings on the router
the range is from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254
DHCP Lease Time : 24h
DNS server addresses: 192.168.1.1
and I guess here I would be able to change the IP address to: Router IP Address: 192.168.1.1
-
Change the pool size to 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.200.
-
I took the modem to the other apartment and with the same settings it works ;///
should I still change the range?
In the other place where it is not working I also have 3 wireless D-link video cameras working (2 DCS-932L and 1 DCS-5020L) and obviously couple of other devices connected to the network. Could that interfere?
Also, if I change the range, do I need to re-run the set up (or at least reconnect) other devices? Re-run setup for the wireless cameras? I guess their IP would change.
-
Everything starts to crash when I link my myDLink account. It happened again now and it's not working anymore.
I'm getting ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error like in the other place ;/ I am sure that this is the problem, but don't know how to revert that now.
-
I removed the link via my myDLink panel, but that didn't help. The ShareCenter WebUI remain unreachable
-
One problem at a time. :o Where you able to get the DNS working at this location where your having problems at by changing the router to a temp 192.168.0.1 address?
If you power off the cameras, then back on, they will get a new address or you could set up static IP addresses as well for the cameras. It' what I use. Then you don't have to worry about them.
-
Didn't have enough time to try that...
That's why I took the router back with me to test it. The setup worked until I linked my DLink account. Once I did that just a moment ago the ShareCenter UI stopped loading.
-
This maybe something your regional D-Link support office needs to have a look at. I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. Reference this forum thread if needed. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
-
ok, I will try to call them... Im sure its something to do with linking with MyLink account. I will let you know. Thanks!
-
This may be a strange question but what browser are you using to try and connect to your NAS and have you tried a different one or even tried using a tablet with browser to connect?
-
I tried different browsers and operating systems... Mac, Windows... Chrome, Firefox and I tried opening on my mobile... and its not loading... its definitely something with the linking ShareCenter with myDLink account... it happened two times and instantly after the webUI stops loading.
I've requested some assistance from DLink Italia and I'll see if they will be able to help otherwise I am not sure what could I do.
-
Were you able to get the DNS switched over to using 192.168.1.###?
Be sure to phone connect with D-Link support on this...
-
I only managed to changed the range of the router, but that didn't help.
I've sent a message. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a telephone number. There was only an online form to fill in and submit on the official website.
-
If you don't get any response from email, try this:
http://www.dlink.com/it/it/contact-d-link (http://www.dlink.com/it/it/contact-d-link)
So the DNS works at a different location and not at the location ur at currently right? seems like maybe a ISP/Modem maybe interfering maybe.
-
Thanks for the contact info. I'll try to contact them tomorrow.
And regarding your question - yes and no...
Basically what happened is this:
2 places: place A and place B
place A is where I want to set up the DNS-320L
I started the setup in place A, I remember it initially loaded ShareCenter, but then when I linked my myDLink account is where the problems began. Immediately after the "click" the ShareCenter under 192.168.1.x stopped responding and I was getting ERR_CONECTION_RESET. Probably around this time I've started this thread.
Then I took the DNS to place B tried to set it up and it worked just fine, but I realise now that I didnt link the myDLink account.
So the next day (this morning) I tried again the same thing at the place A but it didn't work at all. Then I took the router from place A to place B and I tried it, it worked! I then upgraded the ShareCenter's firmware and when I linked the myDLink account it stopped working again...
so thats the story ;-)

Ya seems like a MDL service issue maybe. Something isn't working right. I hope phone support can help.
Keep us posted.
